They provide valuable insights for self-awareness and support personal and spiritual growth by deepening understanding of how they play out at a subconscious level.  

Many traditional Deities, gods and goddesses, and characters in myth and folklore throughout the ages, such as the knight in shining armour and the wicked witch, are based on an archetypal classification system.
